A standard black felt-tip liner kind of deal, nothing exciting but my old Smashbox has just about dried up. I had a Penultimate pen a couple of years ago and loved it. When in Rome?īonus picture, for your shock and horror – that’s NC15 on the left there, with the battered bottle and broken pump… NW10 is hugely different. I can’t believe how different these shades look even in the bottle. I never thought NC15 looked terrible, but there’s no way it’s anywhere near as good as NW10. I’ve ordered myself a new buffing brush to try out with the Studio Fix Fluid – a much raved about by the Internet Sigma F80.
I’ve been adoring my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush but I’m excited to see how the Sigma performs.Apologies for my absence lately! I’ve started my second semester at college and I’ve been trying to get myself organised! I’m back with a post reviewing two of the MAC foundations I’ve been trying recently, Studio Sculpt and Studio Fix Fluid. I told the girl working at the counter that I wanted a foundation with good coverage and one that was suitable for oily skin. I wasn’t surprised that I was the lightest shade they had which was nc15. After trying it for about a week, I thought that the foundation didn’t really last that well on my skin. I decided to do more research and found that the foundation contained oil which is why it practically slid off my face by the end of the day.
The foundation does have a really good coverage and looks beautiful on the skin but by the end of the day, if you have oily skin you will notice it looking very shiny.
It contains SPF 15 which is always an added bonus. This retails at MAC counters in Ireland for €36.50. This is by far my favourite foundation of the two. I decided the best way to test this out after buying it was to wear it to college, on one of the days I’m up at 6am.
That way I’d be able to see how well it lasts after being on my skin for about 15-16 hours! I got this in the shade nc20 this time and it matches my skin when I have a little bit of tan on. It definitely holds up on the skin and I found that the oils don’t come through at all so it definitely stays matte all day long. On the Brown Thomas website, nc20 is the lightest shade so if anyone knows if they do lighter shades in store can you let me know as I bought the bottle I’m currently using from the MAC counter in Liverpool.
